The Method of Insanity... or some other such thing

[An Abstract Thought]

I guess i will begin my collection of characters by pulling a few in from other sites that i have been active on. A lot will come from a more naruto based RP because that is where I started oh so long ago... but the character types fit nicely into a more fantasy style RP with but the change of a few lines here and there. I also have a few that are still under-construction because i am making them much more involved then usual.

Anyway, welcome to the inner workings of my mind. As a warning things tend to overheat in here when I am thinking to hard... or just simply things. And it may be best to poke all ideas contained within with a 12' poll before chancing them, many can be harmful to ones sanity.

[An Abstract Thought]

These are two of my most recent characters. The characters themselves where initially created to test a new style of introduction (hence the unusual profile style) but as they developed on my word document that purpose evolved into full blown characters that I have been dying to use.

Zen

(I'm gonna go about this differently then usual.... hope none of you mind too much))

Zen... heh, what do you want to know about Zen for?..... heard he was around did ya, well in that case I'll tell ya about old Zen. He is an interestin' fool. A wanderin' teacher he calls 'imself, an old loon is what he is though. Don't get me wrong he 'as got somethin' to 'im that sets 'im apart... but he ain't all that special. If you must know, Zen is a tall man, seems to be in his early to mid twenties, his blonde hair and his grey eyes make 'im different then others around him. But of the two it is his eyes that wig me out the most. They got this quality about 'em, this deep sense, as if ya were lookin', not into eyes, but into somethin' bigger then yaself. They're old and wise, and ya can tell that they have seen things that few ever will. His face is nothin' special, apart from them eyes, and his physique is average for a man in his line o' work...... He is built like a fighter, no doubt about it, lean and sinewy. He don't have an ounce o' fat on 'im an' hes fast, damn is he fast.

His clothes well... he is a wanderer so I can sorta excuse the clothes. Ya see he never dresses up for anythin' and rarely does he clean 'imself up for big events. Sorta one of them come as ya are types. But he does have a style you won't soon forget, and I guess 'im bein the rough and tough type the gals kinda dig the looks, but that is another matter completely. He wears this sleeveless leather get up, big collar and all.... with a design runnin' down the front that was suppose'ta mean somethin' a long time ago... not that anyone remembers what it was or nothin'. Over that he has this tannish jacket thing that he lets blow in the wind... same type o' design all over that'un too. Both of 'em are really well worn, ya can tell he uses 'em a lot.... Hes got this belt thing that sorta goes with the whole get up, same design and all. He wears it all loose like 'round 'is waist... keepin' with the laid back look an' all. An' the pants... he must have got 'em with the shirt cause they're made with the same leather.... same damn design too. But all a' that ain't even the outfit. No the outfit is all them rings and stuff he has to complete it with. He got these two special ones on his left hand an' two more on 'is right. Plus he got this amulet thing that he wears around his neck and all, somethin' about it bein' in the family an' all for a while. Needless to say he'll part with none a' it even for a veritable fortune.

Hold your horses.... I'm gettin' to the sword... you just gotta give me a chance. The blade... and boy is it a blade... is probably the most interestin' thin' about the man. It sorta goes with the whole wanderer outfit an' all. Long with this weird thin' round the hilt. Sorta ornate and all, but old lookin' and worn... as if it 'as been through god knows 'ow many fights, not that anyone been countin' or nothin'. He is quite the sword fighter, Zen is. Not the type you'd a want to get inta a tussle wit'. That IS what he goes round teachin' ain't it... makes a bit o' sense that he be good at it or sumthin' o' the like. And now before you ask, ain't no one ever seen 'im release it... it is just a sword for all we can tell......

......... come in here closer will ya.... ya see, between the two o' us, there are these rumors, there are, that he is a death god.... an' that his blades's name is "shifuku". The spirit is suppose'ta be this old man with a hourglass or sumthin' o' the like. Heh, the rumors even say that it has two releases... the first is suppose'ta make it all dark an' stuff, he shouts sumthin' like "shibomu" an' then it all goes dark like twilight... only heavier. That is when he really gets fast... can hardly see 'im in the light as it is.... but hes gotta go runnin' all over the place just ta make it harder on everyone. The other one... is a bit more fuzzy even in the rumors. But dun worry, I 'ave heard a bit here an' there 'bout it. Seems as though it makes everythin' seem ta fade away, an' when I say everthin' I mean it. Just sorta all runs together after he shouts sumthin' 'bout "kurushii tokino kamidanomi", I think it means sumthin' like 'danger past, god forgotten' or some such nonsense like that. The whole thing is probably nothin' ta worry 'bout... just mindless rumors and such. But it is always good ta know that type of thin' just in case.

You wanna hear MOAR.... hmph... if you insist... not my place to argue wit' you ninja types now is it. Zen is different then most, he doesn't see the world the same as you an' I... he sees it in shades o' grey so ta speak.... I mean he sees color an' all, but people and things... they come and they go in his mind. He told me one time that it was sorta like watching the sands of a beach as the waves toy with 'em... you see 'em and all... but you also see that they won't last too long, not the way they are at least. I guess what I am tryin' ta say is he doesn't see ya as ya are but as you may yet be.... if that makes any sense ta ya. , doesn't really ta me.... but I ain't all educated an' all..... Zen's friendly, dun get me wrong, just different.... almost wise... if he weren't so crazy.

....... His past ya say... well 'ow should I know that... I ain't THAT close to the man. But if ya really wanna know I'll tell ya what they say 'bout 'im. He ain't what you would call well off... more average or a bit below, if ya know that I mean. They say he went to the academy when he got ta be that age an' all... but he didn't stay long after he graduated... if he even graduated at all. It wasn't his thing.... not his thing at all. Zen may look like a fighter... but he ain't one through and through... dun like killin'.... not that it seems ta ever get in his way or nothin', he is a damn good fighter so he can sorta beat ya with out killin' ya.... if ya follow what I'm sayin'. Anyways he went off wanderin' after that... teachin' hear and there.... if ya wait long enough in any one place they say ya'll meet him passin' through... but thats just talk. If ya want ta know what I think, I think he got inta the Ops for a time... sorta high up for a man like 'im, then he left.... dun ask me why, knowin' 'im there wasn't no why... 'cept that he wanted ta... and that was enough for 'im.

But ya say you heard that he was round now did ya... if ya meet 'im tell 'im old Kai said hi will ya... ask 'im if he remembers us unimportant folk from back 'ome.... An' tell 'im he is welcome back when e'er he wants ta come.

Kai... you mean Kai is around here somewhere. I have not seen that lowlife vagabond in ages.... What has he been getting himself into of late..... Oh.... you don't know much about him either... well I will tell you then. Kai.... was a close friend a long time ago, we were inseparable for a time during our youth... but that was ages ago, and to be honest much has changed since then and not the least of which has been the two of us. You see Kai was once a mite more sober then he is now. He was once quite the intellect, the brains behind all our daring schemes. But now he has taken to the mug so to speak and never left it once. He still has that same bright red hair as before, and even with his drinking problem chances remain high that he still dresses a bit like Tibetan Monk of old. With that green sash looping leisurely over his sinewy shoulders. The man was always one for irony even in his laid back dress. Do you know if he still wears the gloves with the brass knuckles on them, he does.... heh, he would. He had this long scar running across his body, it was from our first meeting. You see we didn't start out as friends to say the least. More enemies to be frank with you. And as fate would have it we got into a bit of a gentleman's duel to put it lightly, That scar was my greeting gift to him. What else was there about him... oh yes the tattoo just under his neck, if my recollection serves me as it once did the tattoo was in the shape of flower or star. The rest changed frequently when we were young so the chances are high it has changed in the years I have been out in the world.

Kai was always a brawler at heart, never was he one to miss a chance to fight, and quite often it came to me to bail him out of tight spot. But then again he saved my own skin a fair number of times as well, it was what we did for each other. And for a long time we could always count of someone having our backs if that is what it came to. But we grew apart as time passed, he went to the pub, and I to the dojo. It was not long before we were there for each other less and less... until we just stopped all together. But he could take care of himself, for all his drinking he was still the best fighter I have even known, an air user at that. Would you believe he was once considered an unofficial Jonin of our village, honestly he was. He had this gift for combat, he could read a fight before it even happened.... predicting its flow from the opening moves, it was the way he thought. If only he could have seen the course of his life.... maybe he could have fought that battle a bit differently. You see he WAS a jonin once its true, that was a long time ago, now he is a drunk, a forgotten veteran.... not even honored for his part in the wars of old... but that last bit is as he would have wanted... Kai never was one for the fame. He fought for the fight itself... not for honor, or loyalty, not for love or fame.... not even for country or village.

What was he like you say, He was charismatic and outgoing. The first one to light you a smoke and hand you a beer at any party. No one was too anything for him, you could very well have been a beggar off the street... you would have been his friend for that night to the end if he saw you. And you would want to be his friend too. But it never lasted long with him, nothing ever has. He is, in that sense a wanderer like me, never letting his soul stop to settle down... Between the two of us.... I think he might very well be afraid to let anyone in too far, his life style is not one to bring a great deal of safety to anyone he lets in..... But you would never guess the way he parties... on the contrary, you would swear he was the nicest, most open guy you had ever met, and then when you went to look for him the next day, he would be gone without a trace. The only sure fire place to find that man is at a pub... just take your pick, chances are high that he will pay it a visit at least once over the course of a week.

His past you say... I couldn't tell you what the truth is behind his past, but he never had money, or a family for that matter, at least not when I first met him. He lived here and there, he had a lot of friends and so doors were always open to him. We went to the academy together... graduated first and second in our class.... and became ninja in our own right. But that my friends is where our paths began to split. Kai slowly shirked off more and more of his missions, spending his free time at the bar, while I pursued another path, the path of a wanderer. Since then we have met but once... as allies in the last of the great ninja wars we fought as partners and as friends..... But I am rambling now... those years are long past, and neither myself, nor Kai much prefer to draw attention to our part in the whole affair. Suffice it to say... we did more then we were asked but not enough to have no regrets.

But you said you talked to him.... would you mind pointing me in that direction... I have some catching up to do with an old friend of mine. Some catching up that has taken far to long in coming.... By the way.... my name is Zen.

Another character, not quite as new as the previous two but still guite the interesting fellow, he was originally created for a mythical begin highschool RP, based in Calica's Academy (hence the use of the school name at several intervals throughout the profile... but this can (and most likely will) be edited before I use him for anything here.

Overall Appearance: Bremen is one of those people who just gives you the creeps at times, his his pale almost luminescent skin matched with his piercing eyes is enough to make anyone a little uneasy. That is just the first impression, both his smile and understanding nature make him rather easy to get along with.... that is if you can get by the fangs which seem to be the ending point of many encounters, the fact of the matter is that few stick around once they realize he is a vampire. And so with his arrival to Calica's Bremen spent months looking for a way to hide his fangs (like those vampires in the movies) and he just might have found one.
Clothing Style: Bremen tends to gravitate towards the darker colors often seen wearing a long black coat and classy set of black pants. Around his neck hangs a thin cross (it is common misconception that vampires can be killed or repelled by crosses in fact many wear them around their necks more then humans). And on his right hand he wears a fine black glove a second cross hangs above this hand.
Other: On his neck is an intricate tattoo where the bite marks should have been, it is of the pentagram and symbolizes the pure nature of his vampiric(sp?) blood.... he is one of the true vampires.

Likes: Music (something he has spent his entire life perfecting), reading, quiet places, being alone with his thoughts
Dislikes: Loud and unharmonized noises, the sun (it won't kill him but he still doesn't like it), stakes (because it is so cliché i had to), and moving water (again another of the legends of the undead)
Goals: To overcome his dependency upon blood

Quirks He can't help but look at peoples necks when he first meets them, and he has learned a Transylvanian accent because of all the Dracula movies
Habits: He often eats rare meat preferring to cook his food as little as possible, he has a tendency to just sort of appear this is often attributed to his vampire heritage...
Bad Habits: He often licks his fangs when nervous, or hungry; he speaks far too softly to be heard well at even short distances; and he is often perceived as haughty or arrogant because of his quiet nature
General Personality:Bremen is among the oldest begins alive today, his true date of birth can only be guessed at and so his age has been placed near or around 900 years. This being said he acts much more like an intelligent young adult, it is no secret that he has been around long enough to understand the world in large but he has not been around long enough to not find something new each day. Unlike many of his race Bremen was never very fond of the whole drinking the blood of live victims preforming the ritual only when he had to. This all changed soon after he arrived at the door of the great school, his first meeting with Doctor Elizabeth Rose had only served to further his distaste for the curse of his race and over these last few weeks at the school has has done everything in his power to overcome the urge to drink blood. He does however have a small store of medical blood that the local hospital has graciously given to the school at the headmistresses request.... just in case.

Often Choosing to spend his free time wandering through the forest near the school Bremen is both an avid reader and an accomplished musician... but there is nothing he enjoys more then a quiet walk in the dead of night. As a teacher he is a unique change from the normal image of the teacher, often bringing contemporary novels to supplement the standard classics of the course. More often then not he can claim to know even the oldest authors personally owing to his age and prominence throughout the worlds past.

One Good Memory: It was about 300 years ago in France that Bremen had the honor of meeting with the great French philosopher Voltaire. It was a meeting that would help define the the growing vampire.over the years he has assimilated many of Voltaire's ideas into his own rhetoric.
One Bad Memory: about a 100 years after his meeting with Voltaire Bremen had a lapse back to the real nature of his peoples, assuming the Name of Vlad the Impaler he lead a reign of terror in Romania.
Brief History:Bremen was originally a native of the other world, a true vampire he was among the first beings to live even there. His true origins, like those of all other true vampires is currently a mystery... most are unsure themselves owing to the slow decay of their memories brought about by the constant march of rime. Bremen's earliest recollection is of his arrival here on earth, and so that his where he officially begins his life counting his age from that time forward. He was among the first of the magical begins to make the journey across and one of the first to feel the intolerant nature of humanity. For years he suffered persecution at the hands of men and for a long time he had a deep felt hate for their kind... but as is the nature of all things this hatred was changed over time to pity and then understanding.

Over the centuries he has taken on many names from Ovid Vlad The Impaler, but one thing has remained constant, his love of both books and music. When asked about this affinity he says quite simply that they never remain the same no matter how many years go by music and literature will always change. Throughout his life Bremen has had but one relapse back to the base nature of the vampire and that was during his time as Vlad, he claims that is was a slip of the conscious but others think it could be a cycle that comes once every few thousand years, either way the next lapse should not come for several centuries if ever.

In more current times Bremen has spent much of his life wandering the English countryside in search of something new to break up the boredom. It was during one of these excursions that he met a past denizen of Calica's Academy... news of the school intrigued him and off he went across the ocean to find out more about the school, arriving alone but eager to help he was given the position of English teacher... and that is where i must leave his history.... for that is where history has left us.

Overall Appearance:
KC is a tall lanky boy of about 16 years. His face stills retains its childlike innocents, but both his style and his attitude are far from childlike. KC stands above most others his age, and even older, and at 6' 4" with sky blue hair he can't help but stand out in a crowd. He has an athletic build, but prefers to sit and read instead of exerting himself in sports.

His carefree attitude towards most aspects of life only adds to his overall charm with the girls his age. KC rarely combs his hair flat instead letting it fall as it will, into the messy style that has become a sort of signature for him. He is always crisp and clean, but for some reason this fact seems to be overshadowed by the overall laid back appearance that he has.
Clothing Style:
KC often dresses in a casual but well put together ensemble that includes a few trademarks. He is often seen in a well kept collared shirt. Above this he wears a crisp jacket and a matching set of gloves. But for all of this up scale attire he rarely completes this classy ensemble by tightening up the jacket or completely buttoning the collared shirt, instead he chooses to let them remain loose creating the carefree style many associate with him. Often he wears earthy colors with a preferences towards browns and off whites.
Other: A fire ball tattoo on his neck, the amulet wound around his neck.... it bares a small memento from his first home.

Fears: losing control of his powers and harming someone he cares about. Being shunned. Swimming.
Quirks: often says twas, twill, twould, and tis.... he has a tendency to speak in a more abstract sense of the world (a trait many consider strange or awkward).
Habits: Sketching is the late hours of the night, fiddling with his amulet when deep in thought.
Bad Habits: Sleeping in his early morning classes, losing focus when others talk to him.
General Personality:
KC is both lazy and genial. He rarely puts forth effort in class. This is not to say he does not pay attention only that he does not participate during class nor does he complete many of his tasks after class. He has pulled passing marks throughout school inspite of this lack attitude. And on more then one occasion he has been sent to the headmaster for sleeping in class.

Beyond his normal schooling KC can be classed as a partier. Spending most of his free time with friends or at parties he is often at every social event, sometimes arriving uninvited. But KC 'fits in' in almost every crowd, and makes friends easily with most everyone he meets. When he is not partying or hanging with friends or girls KC can be found in a quiet corner simply staring off into space, or drawing in his sketch book.

One Good Memory: Soon after his gifts manifested themselves KC's parents were forced to choose between the views of society and their son. They chose him even though so many others in their position had shunned their children as spawn of the devil.
One Bad Memory: Soon after the afore mentioned "good" memory KC's family was uprooted by the others in their community because of his uniqueness. Forced from their jobs money became strained for his parents and they were forced to leave him with the school until they could find a way to support themselves and him.
Brief History:
Early in life KC had it all, or at least enough to keep him occupied all of the time. He had a large house with enough rooms in in that he had no shortage of play space, and he never wanted for much of anything. This is not to say that his family was rich, but they were far from poor. He was the only child to two loving parents, and he was well liked by others in the town where he lived. But all that changed far too soon.

It was only a matter of time before his unique gifts would manifest themselves... his family had had a history of being just a bit different, sometimes it was an unusual hair color, or an exceptionally tall child..... but sometimes it was much more then that. Kennith Conner Griffin... had gotten it all. His sky blue hair has never been dyed, and throughout his life he has towered above most his age.... but all of this was easy to overlook, there was always a few odd quirks in every family... maybe the hair and the height were the ones held by the the Griffin family. No it was something different that began all his troubles... his gift of magic.

It began around the age of 8 in small bursts; a floating cup here, a moving rock there. Most of the time the others in the town thought it merely a trick of their eyes for these unusual occurrences never lasted very long. But then at about age 10 this all changed.... with puberty came his magic.... and he had gotten the unusual gene in spades. It was only a matter of months from here until his family was driven from the town... they had a reputation to maintain and a freak of nature did not fit well with that reputation. This distrust and hatred have left their mark on KC, because of them he goes out of his way to make friends of all races and personalities... some say it is a way of couping with his fear of rejection, some say it is a defense mechanism to protect him from those who would not accept him into society... either way the experience has changed the way he looks at life and those around him.

In recent years KC's family has fallen deeper and deeper into the hole. The flow of money into this poor family has all but stopped, and true hunger was beginning to set in. His parents decided that it was for his own good that he go live at a boarding school like Calicas Academy, there he would be safe, at least until they could get together enough money to settle down somewhere remote.[/size][/color][/blockquote]

[An Abstract Thought]

I am still going, new characters FTW. Anyway, this one comes with a bit of a story, you see the character was part of an ongoing joke between myself and a friend. His purpose was to poke fun at other characters that seem to infest RPs world wide. he never even made it far enough to get a legitimate profile for himself, in fact he was only ever introduced in a single side thread on the board... but the intro post covered most everything you need or want to know about him and then a wee bit more.

Here is the post as it was first given (i may fix it up into a real Profile later but that is doubtful to happen any time soon):

Slowly Kaishi entered the arena floor, it had been only a few short hours since he issued his challenge to the warriors of The Arena and already he had received challengers. Quietly he stepped between the two waiting warriors his hand resting on the hilt of his favorite weapon. The elegant Bokken hung at his side, its white shine interrupted only by the thin black lines that wove an intricate pattern down its side. The master who had crafted this beautiful weapon had spent days creating the final finish, and as a result the wood of the blade was much harder then most others like it. The pattern down its side formed the picture of 2 warring dragons, one white with a fine black outline, the other black with a fine white outline...

As his fingers ran over the familiar grooves of the handle he smiled to himself as he slowly drew the blade from his belt, running his eyes along its length... he inspected it thus before every battle, but as always there was not a chip to be found along its length, and after confirming this fact he let his arm and the blade fall back to his side as he glanced up at the challengers.

It is here I as the narrator would like to take a moment to add a bit to the description of this man, of this Kaishi. He must have been about 20 from his height and the scruffy beard... well I guess you could call it a cross between a beard and five-o'clock shadow. His white hair and dark eyes matched perfectly with the long cloak he wore. The cloak itself had been made soon after he had received the Bokken, and the design of the twin dragons of Yin and Yang was the inspiration for the two dragons the intertwined themselves along his cloak. At his waist was a black belt with a similar white dragon looping around its length. nestled on the far side of his Bokken is his only other weapon, a short, ceremonial Tanto whose hilt, like the rest of his ensemble was covered with the ornate design of the twin dragons, its fine blade made hard for the sole purpose of defending powerful strokes from his precious Bokken.

As but one more note and then I promise I will let you all return to the battle that is about to commence, I wish to tell you a bit about this Kaishi's personality, a few of the quirks that help make him who he is. To begin I think it best we start at the most reasonable beginning for such a man, his reputation.... or lack there of. Kaishi can be classified with but a word... forgotten. He was born to a well off family and lived in the lap of luxury, at least until his parents squandered the family fortune on their gambling problem, and so he and the rest of his disgraced family disappeared from the publics mind. It was not long after this time that the young Kaishi set out on his own... or well he left the house for about a week in the attempt, but it did not take long for him to realize just how stupid this ideal really was and so he returned home to live the remainder of his youth with his family.

By around the age of nine he was once more forced out onto the street, this time as an orphan... or so he thought. I guess that this deserves a bit more explanation; you see Kaishi's parents had a bit of a drinking problem and often spent entire nights at the nearby pub. It was on such a night that his parents found themselves so utterly drunk that they wandered into the wrong house... the family that lived in this house had been away for a few weeks and so it took the two several days to realize their error and return "home" once more. In this time Kaishi, desperate to be like the heroes of so many legends pronounced his parents dead and wandered off to seek his fortune... now I do not think that he had planned it quite how it turned out... you see he made it down the street, and then a short way up the next before a caring family picked him up. He spent a few days with the couple as they hunted down the fate of his "poor, poor parents"... and inevitably they found the dead pair... returning home once more, all be it with a sever hang over. And so Kaishi's second attempt at poetic fame failed even in the making. Over the next few years he found himself failing nearly half his classes at school passing each grade only by the skin of his teeth. His parents, who by this time have beaten both the gambling and the drinking problem.... that is with serious counseling forced upon them by the helpful neighbors who had sheltered him during their temporary deaths.... decided that since he was the future of the family name that he should have the best possible education, and so they pawned off most of the remaining family heirlooms to hire the best tutors money... or at least above average money, could buy. In fact it was the 6th best tutor money could buy, for you see the top 5 were quite busy tutoring all the other sudden turn around children that seem to plague the world with their cliché. And so by the time he left home, at the ripe age of 17 and a half, he had an above average knowledge of the world and could be considered on the smart side. During this tiring tutoring regiment Kaishi once more saw his chance at the poetic fame he saw in himself, if only he had found the tutoring lesson even the partially irritating... he would have settled for minorly annoying at times... but such was not to be, instead he found himself enjoying them to a degree and so was foiled once more in his hope of exacting revenge upon his heinous parents for the torment of his prolonged schooling. For you see without a reason upon which to base his revenge it was not revenge at all.

Ok, Ok.... i know that that was longer then I claimed but bear with me just a bit longer... One last thing to impart upon you all before I can return this narration over to the characters themselves. And that is Kaishi's personality... for you see Kaishi sees in himself the heroic figures of past legends... forced into this average childhood (which he enjoyed greatly much to his dismay) and so he is a bit on the arrogant side... this being said he has been tamed a bit over the years, not by grand defeats which imparted upon him real life knowledge of the world... no his battle scars come from a more humble origin... his parents wished for him to be more able to function in society, and so he bars the marks of the age old band-aid treatment for poor attitudes... now he is quiet and well mannered around others whom he is to impress.... well actually not really that last bit about his personality is something i thought i would add.... he is quiet enough and while on the arrogant side he isn't too overbearing... on the whole a rather average person through and through... and so i will leave him to impart his personality upon you all... since that is part of the fun in meeting new people..... The Long Template
Character Summary in Story Form: The story of Dante, the shadow, is a long and drawn out one. It has continued on for generations of man and demon alike... well of 6000 years he has walked this earth cursed like the rest of his race to remain when all has changed and gone. Dante has remained a constant of this world... changing little over the course of his life, and it has been his cool and uncaring nature that has defined that life. It is thought that some time within his first century he was cursed by a powerful wizard or mage, and since he has lived in the utter darkness that now engulfs his world. The true events that surround his memory are lost to the cruel winds of time... but then again.... it matters not how it happened only that it did. Dante himself is rather different from other phantoms, he tends to cause a mite less trouble wherever he goes and as such few realize he is a phantom when they meet... often they are distracted by his blindness. His life for the past few centuries has been quite simple, just the way he liked it. Consisting of the lazy task of wandering from one village to the next, never staying more then a few days... always passing on without a trace. Beyond that little is actually known about Dante.... he has kept to himself and so his motives and his opinions remain clouded is speculation.
