Is any one other then me finding the separation of In Character and OOC stupid to the point of frustration? Experientially when the OOC information is directly related the IC information. IE: semi-lit, background, more information about the character themselves in the form a bio, a desired plot direction, etc.
Honestly it is driving me nuts to feel i need to A) make my post idea, write that up B) for clarity it do write backgrounds, and more information and then C) separate them out and hope some one will read the the OOC information.
It is maddening, and driving me nuts as I am looking into joining in with other rps that are trying to get off the ground here.
I do not care if this sound critical, this is how sites grow and become better, and if I am called rude, or ununderstanding for my oppinion so be it. There is no need for me to be frustrated here when I can take the rp some where else.

Alright. Granted, that there is no need for you to stay here, we are simply trying to make sure that people don't get confused and use an IC room for their general chatting topics. I disagree with your statement, because I actually find it frustrating for a RP to be absolutely flooded with OOC. If you need to post something about the background or the character biography or something of that nature, they can still post it in an IC manner instead of having to put it in an OOC post which disrupts the play. Also, I believe that the character storage is a place where you can post the background of your character. But I find it interesting to find out about the character as the play progresses instead of asking flat out. Where's the surprise in using an OOC post in an IC chat if you're simply going to explain why your character is that way. So...there.

P. S. I don't think I've EVER seen a RPG where OOC somehow made it better. =/

In many roleplaying forums, chats, and MMOs I've been in, OOC and IC were kept separate (a rule that was at times strictly enforced), and lounges were implemented for OOC talk pertaining to specific RPGs in many of those boards. I could combine IC with the Pub so that people can have their OOC lounges in the same section with their IC thread, but I don't really see the point. I think it detracts from the immersion value, and I've always considered the combination of OOC in IC as bad form for roleplaying. It's a matter of opinion, I suppose, but it was on that opinion that I'm designing the board.

That is not what I am saying, What I am saying is it would be easier to post the thread makers rules in the IC post to kind of put some limits. Not to mix IC or OOC but as in where I moved the rules for the Pit Fighter rp to an other thread and forum rather then having it as part of the first post. I am not saying turn the rp section into a general chat lounge, I am saying just let some rules like those to be included in the first post rather then having it some where else! I am not looking to pick a fight, I am looking to improve this site so others will join it.

I understand your reasoning, but I simply cannot see why rules could not be posted in a lounge or the try-outs instead. But if it's what the rest of you guys want, and you guys honestly think that it would help, then I'll change it. Unless it seems like a roundabout way of assessing the problem (due to our not-so-big active member list), I can post a poll in the announcements on the matter.
