As very few of you know I started work at the great and powerful Camden Park. While I don't mind the job so much there are so many aspects of it that make me hate humanity more so than I used to, so I feel that I should yell here before I kill some of the people on the ride.
Almost every day people of all ages walk past and see the sign saying 'No riders under 36"' and say to themselves, or so they think, '36 what?' well as much as it pains me I have to refrain from smashing my head against the control panel. Now I can understand why a little tiny kid may not know that the lone set of " is short for inches, any person above the grade of 2 should.
Another thing that annoys me is the other day some woman went in around noon on a day closed to the public and started bitching about the fact that no oner told her the park was to close at three, so when talking to her I had to politely inform her that 'It was a school day set to school hours and if she would have check the very easily accessed schedules she would have seen it's not a public day.' now she gets a little more huffy saying things about how she waisted her money. Around this point I stopped listening to her and went to unload the last people on the ride and when I turn back to leave I see her complaining to the supervisor who is telling the same thing I did.
The third and probably biggest annoyance I have there is that children are stupid, one in about eighty will actually wait in line until I let them in. I know, I know you're probably expecting a long gripe here but all I really have to say about this is I have started threatening the lines saying if they don't wait I will let them load up on the ride and buckle up then turn every thing off and leave, cause once buckled they can not get out until I or my break relief unlocks the belt.
One last thing that bugged me for about an hour or two after was some bitch in line said 'Well that's not fair because some kid and dad had to get back in line after every seat filled up do to a previously mentioned annoyance. Now I didn't yell at her but in my head a nice speech that would have cost me my job formed. 'You want not fair, try having to put up with hundreds even thousands of insubordinate little brats and the dumb ass parents who raise them, for little more than minimum wage about six to eight hours a day, while having to fake smiling so you don't get yelled at by a boss who's about as competent as the customers. For the love of what ever fucking god is ruining my life by putting people like you every where I go if another person screams in my ears I will break their face with the closest living person.'. Of course I calmed down after muttering parts of that to my self so no one died that day.
Sorry if there's enough linguistic irregularities to cause pain but I'm a hair out of practice.
